March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Nicknamed "the Silent Killer", Colon Cancer often shows no symptoms of its presence, making it the 2nd leading cause of cancer related death in Florida. Luckily, screenings can make this cancer up to 90% preventable.

Central Florida Hepatology & Gastroenterology is showing it's support during Colon Cancer Awareness Month by taking part in the Florida Hospital Medical Group "Get Screened Today" campaign, an effort to raise awareness about the deadliness of colon cancer and how simply it can be prevented by getting routine screenings starting at age 50* (45 for African Americans).

To request a screening with Central Florida Hepatology & Gastroenterology, please fill out the form below.

*Depending on your ethnicity, family and personal health history, your doctor may recommend screenings, like colonoscopies, up to 10 years earlier than those of average risk.
